Where would the world be without Kleenex? |
I hate being sick: I hate not being able to do anything, feeling sucky, and being at the mercy of a body that’s not in the mood for helping me to actually accomplish anything.
BUT if there’s one thing I don’t seem to mind when I’m sick is my parents’ constant care. (Yes, I’m a proud still-live-at-home-r.) Even though I’m in my 20s, if you saw how I behaved around my parents when I’m sick, you’d think I was perhaps 5. Whatever, I’m not spoiled; I’m just a very fortunate only child :).
I realize I have a couple strange habits when I’m sick too: The house must be in complete silence throughout the day so I can sleep, the dogs can’t make me take them out or make them food, and, last but not least, I must have a pile of care items–incl. Kleenex, cough drops, essential oils, and, of course, my phone–by me at all times.
My dad’s the kind of man who, upon noticing how annoying (?) I get when I’m sick, just wants me to get better as soon as possible. So he’ll make me a certain homeopathic remedy or even go to the grocery store as many times as it takes to get me that exact brand of whatever I need because he understands what specifically will ultimately help me get better.
My parents are such sweethearts! My dad just knows the difference that his homeopathic remedies and soothing recipes make, and my mom’s loving touch is so revitalizing; they just try their best at being there for their little girl.
But let’s say you’re not a lucky single gal or guy living with her family/parents. Maybe you live on your own, have a significant other who lives elsewhere, or have kids who are in college or on their own themselves.
Well, as long as ’tis the season of the cold, Kleenex has you “covered” (no pun intended, I promise!) with both its Care Pack and Share Pack. Honestly, don’t they look cool? Why not send either (or both!) to a loved one who may be under the weather this time of year?
When someone is sick, even the smallest gesture can remind them that they are cared for. And to me, it’s the small gestures that make all the difference. I don’t know about you, but when I’m sick, I sometimes just want help w/the simplest things such as getting up or prepping a glass of water! I mean really don’t need a grand gesture that I can’t really enjoy because my body won’t let me! And I bet there are many people like me out there, right?
So here’s your mission: I encourage you to small-gesture your way to your current/potential loved one’s heart and get them either the Kleenex Brand Share Pack or Care Pack. After all, these unexpected gifts can make all the difference when it comes to showing someone how much you care.*
And how do you get them? It’s very easy: Starting this December, visit your local retailer, purchase a specially-marked Kleenex brand Bundle Pack and redeem the code on the package. Then visit Kleenex.com and follow the directions to send a Care Pack to someone who needs a little care.**

* However, if you’re a guy and a gal tells you not to come over because she doesn’t feel pretty, listen to her because she means it. At least I’d mean it :). So feel free to drop off either the Care Pack or the Share Pack or any other goodies you so lovingly want to bring her near her door instead and she’ll work on getting to them in her own time and without the added pressure of impressing you. Because, let’s face it, us gals want to always impress you, you lucky guys!

Now tell me: What do you do when a loved one’s sick, or what does a loved one do when you’re sick?
