The Holidays Are Near! So How About A $50 Sears Gift Card Giveaway?

Sponsored by Sears. Written and thought-out by me.

Stores have been featuring Christmas décor for months. Thanksgiving is in a little over three weeks. Christmas is in less than TWO months. You have a LOT of people to send gifts to. Time’s running out.

Are you going to panic? NO. You’re going to be a champ. You’re going to conquer the holiday shopping olympics. And Sears will help you take Gold and make you the superstar you were meant to be.

Win a $50 Sears Gift Card

That is because at Sears you can always count on getting more…more value, more brands, more rewards and more ways to shop.

For instance, as a sort of “Thanks for having me over” gift, for the first time I went over to my boyfriend’s house, I had made him a basket containing cooking thingies in both our Alma Maters’ colors. (Dark blue and orange are for his Auburn University and red and white are for my U. of Utah.)

Needless to say, he was over. the. moon: He thought the things were cool (he likes and needs to cook) but my having researched the colors and put it all together was what rocked for him. (Aw…)

Now that I’ve visited him a couple times and been spotting a few things he might need (incl. something for those bare walls of his), I think I have an idea for another basket (I like making gift baskets, in case you hadn’t been able to tell by now), and this time I’ll do all my shopping at Sears.

#MORETOYOU

I’ll get to how you can win ^one^ after I tell you about a really cool campaign Sears launched to show all the ways its stores offer more. As part of its #MoreToYou initiative, Sears set out to surprise real people based on their actual tweets–capturing heartfelt and riveting emotional reactions in an online series of short videos.

Father’s Day

One video that resonated with me is one where a young woman was stumped on what to get her dad for Father’s Day, (I’ve been in her shoes many times..) but her visit to Sears revealed dozens of options for her to choose from. The moral of the story is that from apparel and home goods to electronics and tools, Sears is the go-to gift destination no matter who you are shopping for:

Surprising Dad with Craftsman

The second video I enjoyed–as it resonated with me the MOSTEST–almost read my mind because it shows something my mom and I have been wanting to do for my dad for YEEEARS. It’s the story of a Hispanic family, which means I basically bawled. In it, another young woman and her family surprised their dad with a new work station (!!!), complete with Craftsman tools. In case you didn’t know, Sears is the exclusive retailer of Craftsman, America’s most trusted tool brand.

For more than 85 years, the Craftsman brand has developed innovative tools and products, making projects come to life and earning a reputation for unsurpassed quality and durability With more than 6,000 tools and 80 categories, Craftsman has something for everyone. So if that doesn’t sound like the perfect gift for your favorite Renaissance man, I don’t know what could!

More Great Videos

  • In Proud to Give More to All, Sears helped four couples start their lives together during the Chicago Pride Parade with its gift registry.
  • In Giving More to Busy Moms, the company’s In-Vehicle Pickup service (which is powered by the Shop Your Way mobile app) helped make the task of shopping with a baby was much easier for a mom. In a nutshell, the service enables you to pick up your online purchases at any Sears store within five minutes of arrival, without ever leaving your car.
  • Sending your Child Off to College was inspired by a tweet from a mom coming to grips with her son heading off to college. In it, “Anyone, Anywhere Pick-up” (which allows you to shop online for yourself or a loved one and have the order picked up by anyone, at any Sears store across the country) let a mom to give her son a heartfelt surprise when she couldn’t be with him in person.
  • Last but not least, in Sears Bakes Up A Surprise, the company gives a young woman a BIG surprise after her oven breaks while she was trying to bake a birthday cake.

The warm fuzzies just keep on coming…
