Do you think we’ll experience UNITY once again?

Until the Left stops acquiescing to a tiny portion of the population, we’ll continue experiencing division.

I watched a video of Trump’s arrival at some boxing event recently that gave me the chills:

I first stumbled upon it just a couple hours after it had been posted because I remember looking for more related videos and couldn’t find any.

It did more than give me the chills, if I’m being honest. It made me tear up. He represents to me, an immigrant, the epitome of the American Dream that won’t back down or give up in the face of pressure or near-death.

The Trump Dance

So I forgot about it until I came across another video on my feed; this time of Brett Cooper discussing that very night:

Not to be outdone, Steven Crowder and his team made a montage of all the athletes who’ve started doing the “Trump Shimmy” recently, plus other celebrities who’ve “come out” in support of the President-elect:

(In case the video below doesn’t start there automatically, feel free to go to minute 37.)

The premise of all these videos is that the country’s been divided for years. That it’s been pretty much “US vs. THEM” (where US represents whatever side one is on because it’s clearly the “correct” one whereas THEM is the side of the crazy people–again, whatever that means to you) and that relations among races, social classes, professions, political parties, nationalities, and even between* genders, haven’t been this bad since the founding of our country.

(*I wrote “between” because there are only two genders, you see.(

But it wasn’t until I saw this tweet (X post? post on X?) on Brett’s video (above) that it hit me:

Are we there yet?

I appreciate many Conservative personalities claiming that “We’re back!” and “There’s so much unity now!” because I identify with the sentiment and I want it to be true SO badly.

When will the Left allow the rest of society to once again “judge” others by the character INSTEAD of their skin color? (Photo by Woubishet Z. Taffese on Unsplash)

And if a significant portion of (or, in many cases MOST) Muslims, the Amish, Hispanics, and Gen Z men (among others) voting for Trump DOESN’T scream unity, then what could? These are groups that very few could’ve known supported him.

We’ve always been united; it just wasn’t OK to show off how united we are. And in many cases, I still don’t think that it is.

I’d be kidding if I didn’t recognize that there’s still plenty of division in our society, and I don’t know how to change it.

(I don’t know if I want to change it, either: Some people are nuts!)

Here are some examples: (Go ahead and include yours in the Comments.)

  1. I won’t wear a Trump hat or anything that identifies us a Trump supporters.
  2. Many homes in our neighborhood still display their gay/transgender flags. (Thankfully not lately–perhaps because of the Election?–but one still knows which did.)
  3. There are still people out there who wear masks, including inside their vehicles.
  4. Some Morning Joe viewers want to boycott the show after its hosts met with Trump.
  5. Some want to eliminate the Jews off the face of the planet.
  6. Many women prefer to kill their unborn babies because they’re inconvenient rather than place them for adoption.
  7. “Let’s defund the police!”
  8. “The border’s fine!”

Those few points right there (not an exhaustive list) show that there’s still a clear distinction to be made between normal and delusional, and so long as that line exists, the “delusional” faction still seems very much mainstream:

  1. Trump voters are seen as Nazis and Hitler supporters, and to call attention to oneself like that has been a bad move for some.
  2. How one can proudly fly a flag that tells the world, “I’m OK with mutilating children, making them infertile for the rest of their lives, retarding their development, letting kids read porn in schools, having boys in girls sports, and erasing women off women’s sports and other important sectors, all so that a handful of people can live happily” boggles my mind.
  3. When did the air become so toxic?
  4. What’s so wrong about allegedly extending an olive branch to someone whom you treated so horribly in public?
  5. They haven’t done anything to deserve that.
  6. Babies haven’t done anything to deserve such horror, either.
  7. The police helps keep us safe and defunding it hurts communities.
  8. The border crisis has been hurting our communities as well.

It used to be that that kind of hate was more hidden. When everyone acted like they liked, or at least respected, each other, there was more to add and gain from a conversation. You knew you could co-exist with your neighbor without thinking to yourself, “They’re certifiably insane.”

But now it seems to have become more fashionable(?) for some to wear their hate on their sleeve and proudly proclaim their “otherness” or how much they’re NOT like their neighbor, in addition to publicly shaming them for being part of the lesser and less worthy group.

It’s a shame, really.

When my family and I came here in 2002, we experienced a completely different and actually UNITED States of America. Yes, there were Conservatives and Liberals, but everyone seemed to be more together and cohesive.

Now maybe that was because 9/11 had just happened a year prior; people were still in shock, mourning and saddened at what was and at the loss of what could’ve been. I was a pre-teen then, and other kids my age didn’t seem much different from each other.

So I disagree with the people who have millions of followers and who own or work for big Conservative outlets in claiming that we’re oh, so united now.

Yes, it’s nice to see Liberal celebrities like Jelly Roll be cordial to Trump, and it’s chilling to see a place with such explosive energy simply because the President-elect was there, but couldn’t you argue they’d have done that a year ago?

Where were they two years ago? (Assuming the place was functioning at capacity in 2022.)

Would they have supported the president then? What about all those doing the shimmy now? (I don’t follow sports so I don’t know how long they’ve been doing it. But it’s not crazy to think that it’s just being reported on NOW, then it only started happening NOW.) Or are they now proudly showing off their Trump love because he won? Why not after he got shot?

Another thing is.. the Democrats still don’t get it–or they’ll come to kind of understand it once it’s convenient for them. Until most of them get it, there’ll still be plenty of room for delusion and division in our society.

According to them, the Left didn’t run on what’s best for the LGBT+. It was the Right (telling voters what the Left believed and wanted) which ran on that. Besides sounding preposterous, it’s yet another gaslight coming the Left. Yes, for the past several years the Right has been reminding Americans of all the perversion in the Left, but it wouldn’t have had to if such perversion didn’t exist.

If the Left weren’t so gung ho on mutilating children, making them infertile for the rest of their lives, retarding their development, letting kids read porn in schools, erasing women off women’s sports and other important sectors, insisting that kids wear masks and get vaccines unnecessarily, promote minorities for the racist sake of promoting minorities, etc.. all so that a mere handful of people can live happily, then the Right would back off.

But until the Left continues believing and acting on all that BS, there’ll be division.

No, we’re not there yet

Take Senator Moulton (D), for instance: one day he supports biological boys playing in girls’ sports, another day he says he doesn’t want his daughters competing with boys in sports (so which is it?!), and yet a different day he claims that he’s still all for trans rights and not at all be like Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R), who’s introduced a resolution barring transgender women from women’s restrooms in the Capitol.

… many Democrats, out of fear of offending people, are afraid to even discuss this and other contentious issues, and just try to cancel those who do. -Moulton

And who can forget Jaguar the British automaker, who coincidentally waited til after the Election to release the worst car ad in history.

Either it was genuinely finished weeks after the Election, or Jaguar set a post-Election deadline so that it wouldn’t do Trump’s job for Trump in reminding voters of just how out-there and OTHER-Y the Left can be. (It was probably the latter, considering an exec was astounded at all the hate it was getting online.)

What’s so ironic about Jaguar’s “Copy Nothing” line is that all that weird nonsense IS copying all the weird nonsense that’s been paraded and shoved down our throats for years. I guess it’s a good thing its head honcho doesn’t care?

If we play in the same way that everybody else does, we’ll just get drowned out –from The Guardian

Forget showing a regular ad that tugs on our heartstrings like Volvo’s (below) and shows a car’s features. Yuck! Better show people that it’s time to “break the mould” by featuring the same odd-looking characters used every Pride Month to pander to the Left and entirely foregoing cars in our ad.

Last but not least, can you believe they’re STILL calling him a Fascist? Exactly WHAT makes him one? Who knows (not them).

The Left insists it’s the Electorate that’s racist, bigoted, transphobic, homophobic, misogynistic, and that we voted to keep someone like that in power. We’re supposedly the problem: not them. Never them.

Never mind that the Harris-Biden administration “pressured Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms to censor content on Twitter” and wanted Rogan off “Spotifly”; that Clinton lamented that the government doesn’t have more control of social media; and that Walz claimed misinformation isn’t protected by First Amendment.

But somehow Trump is the “Fascist”? Uh-huh.

Until the Left gets it, sees its own derangement, looks for ways to answer to those they trashed for the past four years, and stops acquiescing in general to a tiny portion of the population, we’ll continue seeing division.

I just hope it’s not for long: I’d like to experience a bit or normalcy from years ago before it all seemingly hit the fan.
