Valentine’s Day in San Fran! {Part 3}
Part of a sign I spotted on our way to our gate at OAK. It had somewhat of a bittersweet vibe, I felt. |
So then it came time for us to leave. I couldn’t help but feel sort of sad as we were going down the escalator to wait for BART and I kept staring at the buildings I was “leaving behind” but that because of my goals and aspirations couldn’t wait to see again.
Despite having over six hours to spare, we decided to spend two of those hours at the airport waiting for our plane partly because we were scared we were going to miss it had we decided to take a tour or visit more attractions.
However our airport stay was, oddly enough, kind of great. With free wi-fi (which my mom used for watching shows on our iPad and I for blogging on my laptop) plus access to some good food options, my mom and I felt relaxed (though a bit anxious to finally get home, mind you).
As great I thought the trip was, I found it very odd when I woke up this morning feeling BEYOND exhausted and with plenty of soreness and “achiness.” (Ugh no workout again…) I seriously feel like I’ve been dragging myself around all day long. Thank God my French class isn’t until later tonight, so I still have a few hours to take it easy.
I can’t wait to go to bed at a better time tonight and wake up tomorrow feeling way rested and actually in the mood to tackle the day!
Been anywhere fun lately?
