See It Online, Try It On In-Store With Sears’s New Reserve It Service

With Reserve It, you can browse online then buy or try on in-store, saving you lots of time! Perfect for the holiday--or any--season.

Sponsored by Sears. Written and thought-out by me.

Unlike many of my fellow Millennials, I can’t stand shopping for clothes online. Unless I know the exact size and style/model number/name, I’ll always choose to buy it in-store. In fact, I’ve been known to save pictures (either on my phone or my head) of clothes I find at the online version of store X with the hope of finding those things at its offline version.

So when Sears contacted me to introduce me to its new Reserve It service and chat with you about it, I was over the moon because I finally realized that at least one retailer out there gets me and my fellow “weirdos” who’d rather try stuff on before buying it.

In a nutshell, Reserve It saves you time: With it, you are able to digitally browse with a few clicks on Sears.com, and when you arrive at the store your selections are hand-picked, ready, and waiting for you to try on. And, to make your life even easier, you can instantly see what styles, colors and sizes are available at your local store—no more wild goose chase to find a new sweater or pair of boots.

MY BOYFRIEND’S COMING OVER FOR THANKSGIVING

Although we’ve been together for just a few months, he’s already someone very special and my family can’t get enough of him, so OF COURSE he’ll be having a Colombian-American T-day with us. (Plus, he’s from Alabama, where his whole family is, and he won’t be seeing them til mid-December, so what was I going to do.. abandon him for an entire holiday?)

But I digress…

My point is that I’m really looking forward to buying a cute outfit for Thanksgiving and I’m especially looking forward to browsing online before going to my local Sears. Because priorities.

I’d give you all an idea of the kind of outfit I wish to get but said boyfriend likes to read my blog on occasion and, well, I don’t like to ruin surprises.

So Instead I created four Homey Lounge-y Thanksgiving Day Outfit Ideas (more about them on my Polyvore) that don’t resemble what I intend to shop for but that I hope will inspire your own look in case you don’t yet know what you’ll wear:

AWESOME Lounge-y Thanksgiving Day Outfit Ideas!
Wouldn’t it be cool to find similar versions of these on Sears.com AND THEN PICK THEM UP IN-STORE? #Excited.

And back to my original point: You see, with Reserve It, people can easily shop online at Sears.com for the latest fashion trends, footwear, accessories and more, place them on hold with just one click, and then try them on in-store. Isn’t that super easy?

So now you know what I’ll be adding to my to-do list this week–and the next ;).

BROWSE ONLINE, BUY OR TRY ON IN-STORE. HOW DOES RESERVE IT WORK EXACTLY?

Reserve It is very simple to use

  2. Click on the product, style and size you want and select “Reserve In Store.” You’ll receive an email notification when your items are ready to try on
  3. Sears will hold your items for 48 hours. When you arrive at the store, head to the Reserve It rack located in the Women’s Apparel section and try your items right then and there.
  4. Then, check out as you normally would!

SAY IT WITH ME: SEARS TAKES THE STRESS OUT OF (HOLIDAY) SHOPPING

Reserve It isn’t the only service Sears provides to make shopping easier.

That’s right, other great resources from Sears that are bound to be utilized a lot this holiday season (OK, all the time) by busy people everywhere are Cross-Store, with lets pick up your online purchases at any Sears location; Member Assist, with which you can chat with a store associate within Sears’s new Shop Your Way app, Return In 5, which guarantees your return will take five minutes or less to process, and In-Vehicle Pickup:
